In rude health: Daruda secures his future with the Force

Western Force have secured the services of Scott Daruda and Troy Takiari for another two years, with both players signing to stay with the franchise until 2010.

Both players have come to the fore this season for the Force, with versatile prop Takiari having played in every game in this season's Super 14 campaign.

A former Brumbies Academy player, Takiari is equally adept on either side of the scrum and has represented Australia A on three occasions.

"Having been to a few places during my career I've really enjoyed my time in Perth and the team is certainly on the up," said Takiari.

Papua New Guinean-born Daruda is in his third season with the Force and has represented Australia at U19 and U21 level.

Daruda said he had no hesitation in committing to the Force for two more seasons.

"You have to consider all the options but when it came to it, the Force made the most sense," he said.

"We're a team in good form right now after building for the last two years and it's an exciting place to be."
