Poor form: Cowan was arrested after the defeat

Highlanders scrum-half Jimmy Cowan has been arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour after the side's loss to the Blues in Dunedin.

Cowan has been charged with disorderly behaviour concerning an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The All Black player was arrested the morning after the Highlanders' 40-15 loss to the Blues. He will appear in court later this week.

Highlanders Chief Executive Richard Reid says he is disappointed and admits it is not a good look.

"There is a part of it which is personal responsibility and just simple professionalism, and issues like this sort of fall outside that unfortunately," he told Radio Sport.
