Injury worry: Meyer Bosman

Cheetahs centre Meyer Bosman has sustained a thigh injury that could jeopardise his participation in Saturday's Super 14 derby match against the Bulls at Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein.

The Springbok centre hurt his thigh in training with the Free State franchise on Thursday and was immediately rushed to hospital where he underwent scans to assess the extent of the damage caused by the injury.

The news is a blow for Naka Drotské's side as Bosman has been one of their stand out players this season.

Drotské confirmed that a decision about Bosman's participation in the Bulls match would only be taken on Friday while speaking to Free State radio station OFM.

"We will know [Friday] whether he can play," said Drotské who could be forced to move JW Jonker to outside centre and shifting Hendrik Meyer to inside centre.
