Graham quits SRU

Tuesday 20th May 2008

Former Scotland assistant coach George Graham has left the Scottish Rugby Union.

Graham lost his role as forwards coach last month after a review of the coaching structure that came in the wake of Scotland's disappointing Six Nations campaign.

Glasgow coach Sean Lineen and Edinburgh boss Andy Robinson were instead drafted in to assist Frank Hadden during Scotland's summer tour of Argentina.

The SRU offered former Scotland prop Graham alternative coaching roles but he has rejected them.

"Scottish Rugby thanks him for his contribution with the national team over the past three years and wishes him well," read an SRU statement.
