Just one international match on the cards this weekend when defending Tri-Nations champions New Zealand host South Africa for the second week in a row.
The Boks will be hoping to make it eighth time lucky when they meet the All Blacks at Carisbrook on Saturday.
The Springboks have never won a Test at the House of Pain, losing on all seven occasions and four times since readmission. The closest they have come to breaking the hoodoo is two four-point defeats - in 1956 and 2005.
The man in the middle will be Australia's Matt Goddard, who will be looking to stamp his authority on the match a wee bit better than fellow countryman Stu Dickinson did last week.
Goddard too had a forgettable day with the whistle two weeks ago when he blew the one-off Test between Argentina and Italy to death - awarding 31 penalties and nearly forty scrums!
South Africa's domestic competition, the Currie Cup, continues its run into Round Three with the big match of the weekend set to be played between the Blue Bulls and the defending champion Cheetahs in Pretoria.
