Leicester have continued their rebuilding plans by signing goal-kicking journeyman scrum-half Julien Dupuy from Biarritz.

The 24-year-old won the Top 14 championship twice with Biarritz and was part of the side that reached the Heineken Cup final in 2006.

However Dupuy feels the time is right for a change of scene.

"This will be a big change for me after so long with Biarritz but I know Leicester Tigers is a massive club," Dupuy told the club's official website.

"I am very happy to sign for Leicester and I am looking forward to starting the pre-season work there and experiencing rugby in England."

England international Harry Ellis is currently the first-choice number nine at the Tigers, while U20 cap Ben Youngs has provided cover.
