Out: Berquist will miss the rest of the season

Hawke's Bay will have to make do without fly-half Matt Berquist for the remainder of the season after it was revealed he had broken his finger.

Berquist, the Air New Zealand's top points scorer this season with 68, broke the ring finger on his left hand of his side's 18-14 victory over Taranaki on Thursday.

He had an operation on Friday and will be in a cast for 6-8 weeks.

Further to that Hawke's Bay will be without captain Danny Lee for at least two weeks. The scrum-half also left the field with a hand injury.

Winger Jason Kupa, who left the field with a calf injury, is expected to be fit for their match against Counties-Manukau at Pukekohe on Sunday.
