Hibbard: A new four-year contract for the hooker

Richard Hibbard has signed a new four-year contract with the Ospreys, keeping him at the Liberty Stadium until at least 2012.

The Welsh international is currently out injured, but is expected to be back in action by the end of the month.

The 24-year-old, capped by Wales during their summer tours to Australia and South Africa over the past two years, is the latest in a long line of players to commit their long-term future to the region.

"We believe Richard has the potential to be one of the world's best hookers," said Ospreys coach Jon Humphreys.

"We are delighted that he sees his long-term future with the Ospreys.

"He is a highly-motivated individual who has a strong desire to be a success, and the improvements in his game over the last 12 months are clear."
