Sean Lineen insists his commitment to Glasgow Warriors will not be affected by his new role in the Scotland set-up.
Warriors coach Lineen and his Edinburgh counterpart Andy Robinson will assist Scottish Head Coach Frank Hadden on this summer's tour of Argentina.
Former England boss Robinson and ex-Scotland international Lineen, who was born and raised in New Zealand, will continue with their club roles and the management team will be reviewed after the two Tests against the Pumas.
The Scots will be seeking to climb from their current tenth place in the world rankings under the new coaching set-up after a disappointing Six Nations.
However, Lineen is prioritising his Glasgow duties at this stage and preparing for next week's Magners League trip to face second-bottom side Ulster.
"I'm really excited to be involved again with the national squad, especially given the importance of the two matches against the Pumas as far as Scotland's world ranking is concerned," said the 46-year-old.
"But my involvement does not dilute my commitment to Glasgow Warriors and right now my focus is on ensuring that we end our final two away games in the Magners League, against Ulster and Munster, on a high and build on our last three victories against the Dragons, Edinburgh and the Scarlets."
