Bismarck du Plessis: Doubtful for the weekend

Bismarck du Plessis: Doubtful for the weekend

South Africa's team announcement, scheduled for Tuesday, has been delayed until Thursday as the coachng staff waits upon the verdicts of disciplinary hearings and injury scans.

Prop CJ van der Linde is expected to be suspended today pending his disciplinary hearing for an alleged headbutt during the first half of Saturday's 27-15 defeat by Australia.

Lock and captain Victor Matfield is undergoing treatment for a groin problem aggravated by a pull-down in a line-out by Rocky Elsom, for which the flanker has also been cited.

Hooker Bismarck du Plessis is also undergoing treatment for a damaged knee. Both he and Matfield are doubtful starters for Saturday's match in Johannesburg.
