Toulon have again opened their purse and taken in Junior Poluleuligaga as a "medical joker" to cover for the loss of South African scrum-half Norman Jordaan.
Jordaan damaged knee ligaments against Bordeaux-Bègles and will be out of action for four months. The "medical joker" is a player allowed to join a professional squad in France to replace and injured player.
Poluleuligaga, a 27-year-old Samoan international born in Otahuhu in New Zealand, played for Samoa at the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
He has played representative rugby in New Zealand for North Harbour in the Air New Zealand Cup and for the Blues in the Super 14. He played for Samoa in seven Tests, beginning with South Africa in June this year.
